About us:

Association of Retired Forest Officers of Andhra Pradesh was formed on 29th May 1989 with only 18 members, with the sole aim of meeting the members as frequently as possible to avoid isolation after retirement. Today we have got 156 members and every quarter a General Body Meeting is conducted in which members meet along with their spouses and discuss various issues of the society.

About 15 years back in the year 1994 the Association decided to start a News Letter in which information about the member’s welfare used to be published every quarter. The founder Editor of this News Letter was Mr. K. Buchiram Reddy who nurtured it to a big and strong Tree and this quarterly Newsletter made a monthly Journal. Mr. K. Buchiram Reddy relinquished office in the month of August 2009 and Mr. Qamar Mohammad Khan has taken over as Editor. Since then he is continuing as the Editor of this Magazine.

Vana Premi publishes articles on the subjects of Forestry, Wild life, Environment, Tourism, and any other subject of interest like current affairs.
